About July 4 Celebration

Celebrate July 4 at Mount Trashmore Park with an evening full of energy, entertainment, and community spirit. The event is free to attend, making it an easy choice for families and friends looking to enjoy the holiday together. 

Enjoy live music, a variety of food trucks, and activities for all ages throughout the park.

  • Starts: 5 p.m.

  • Ends: 9:30 p.m. The night concludes with a dazzling fireworks show beginning at 9:30 p.m., lighting up the sky over Virginia Beach.

Event Information

Parking: Limited Onsite Parking | Begins 2 p.m.

  • Parking fee: $20 (cash only and it begins at 2 p.m.)
  • Note:  When parking lots at Mount Trashmore Park are full, Edwin Drive between Independence Boulevard and South Boulevard may close.  Expect delays.

    WonderLand: is a dynamic high-energy band based in Hampton Roads, VA. The band has an extensive song list that includes a wide variety of styles, including modern rock, top 40, pop, alternative... lots of fun tunes ranging from 70s to 2000s that will move your feet. 
  • Kellogg

    Celeste Kellogg: She is a CMA, Nashville Charting Recording Artist who has released two singles to Country Radio "Country Swagger" & "There’s a Beach Somewhere." Both singles have charted on the Music Row Country Airplay Charts out of Nashville. Kellogg's song "Driving East" has been designated the official song of the City of Virginia Beach.

    • Know Before You Go

    • Park public lots will begin charging at 2 p.m. There is limited on-site parking. We recommend arriving early.

    • Road closure on Edwin Drive once the public park lots are filled.

    • Parts of the trail will be closed on July 1 – July 5 for safety.

    • Boardwalk will be closed on July 4.
