The boat ramp features four concrete boat launch lanes with associated temporary mooring areas offering direct access to Rudee Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean via Owl Creek. The area offers lighting for evening use and portable restrooms are located onsite.
Owl Creek Boat Ramp is undergoing construction through 2025. Two of the three boat ramps will be available while the other is being replaced. In addition to repairs, a new ADA kayak launch will be installed. Parking will be limited during the project timeline. Overflow parking is available in grass lot across the street. There are no fees for launching at the boat ramp. A free pump-out is located directly adjacent to the launch area. Canoe and kayak launching can occur but should be loaded and unloaded in the designated unloading area adjacent to the concrete launches. Motorized watercraft have launch priority, but please be courteous to those already in the process of launching.
Note: Fishing, crabbing, or net fishing is not allowed on the dock or mooring areas as well as the shore areas along the City property. There is ample on-site vehicle and trailer parking. Overflow parking is located across General Both Blvd in a grass overflow lot.
A vehicle with boat trailer parking and car parking is available onsite at no charge. Please park in the appropriate designated areas. Overflow parking is available across the street at the old Camp Pendleton parking lot.
Limited parking available due to boat ramp construction. Overflow lot across General Booth Boulevard is currently unavailable.
