The Active Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC) formerly known as the Bikeways and Trails Advisory Committee (BTAC) was established by City Council in October 2004.

The ATAC is seeking student members to help build out the future of biking and trails in VB. Past student members have earned full college scholarships from their work with the committee!
Apply NowThe Bikeways and Trails Advisory Committee (BTAC) was established by City Council in October 2004. It was renamed the Active Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC) in June 2022.
"Active Transportation" includes walking, biking, using small-wheeled transport such as skates or scooters, wheelchair travel, and human-powered watercraft transportation such as canoeing and kayaking.
The mission of this committee is to:
Serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council with respect to the implementation of the Active Transportation Plan.
Coordinate the timely construction of active transportation facilities and traits in accordance with the plan’s priorities.
Promote a balanced approach between and among various users' interests.
Provide a forum for continued resident input in the planning and programming of future active transportation facilities.
