To celebrate its 60th Anniversary, the AARP wanted to give back to the communities they serve by making a gift that would reflect their values and improve the quality of life for the approximately 38 million AARP members living in the U.S.
FitLot’s mission resonated with AARP’s Office of Community Engagement. In 2019, AARP sponsored FitLot to plan, build, and program one outdoor fitness park in every state as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, for a total of 53 parks over three years!
The all-new FitLot at Williams Farm Park features a 1,400 square ft, shaded design space with a combination of static and moveable fitness equipment for strength, cardio, balance, and flexibility training. Come check it out and change up your fitness routine!
