Due to continued hiring challenges being faced by contracted officials organizations, schools and Parks and Recreation, league maximum capacities will continue to be impacted. Due to these reduced capacities, leagues have been filled prior to registration end dates.
If your desired division is filled, please contact Sports Management at 757-385-0458 to be added to a waiting list or if you have any additional questions. Register early for the best opportunity to play.

The city is divided into 12 geographic areas for Parks and Recreation youth sports. Each area has a volunteer Area Chairperson and Community Recreation Association that organizes programs in conjunction with Sports Management. The city offers leagues for youth aged 10 through 18. The player's age as of September 30 of the current school year determines eligibility (see bylaws for further details).
Most Recreation Associations also offer leagues for youth under age 10 (called "farm leagues"), and some also offer baseball and tackle football. Recreation Associations will charge a player registration fee. Fees charged and sports/age groups offered vary by area. High school varsity and junior varsity players are not eligible for the same community league sport.
