This 68-acre park was established in 1978 through the cooperative efforts of the City, the National Park Service, and Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Bayville Farms Park, next to Bayside Recreation Center, offers a wide range of activities, with features including off-leash dog parks with dog agility equipment, a small skatepark, playground, ballfields, lighted tennis and pickleball courts and an 18-hole disc golf course.
The park was established in 1978, but the land has a longer history, as it was once part of the land owned by Captain Adam Thoroughgood in 1643. In the early 19th century, the land was part of the Bayville Farms estate, which gives the park its name.
For ballfield rentals, please call PAAC staff at 757-385-0478.
Bayville Farms Disc Golf was designed by Ed Headrick back in 1977, making it one of the oldest courses on the Atlantic Coast. The course is mostly wooded, with two baskets per hole. A parking lot and bathrooms are available close to the first tee. Course details available at this Bayville Park site.
Three large picnic shelters are available to rent at Bayville Farms Park. Each has 12 tables, a grill, and can accommodate up to 100 people. Picnic shelters to not have electricity and no food trucks are permitted. For shelter reservations, please call 757-385-PARK (7275).
