The teen media studio offers opportunities for year-round programs in digital and media enrichment including clubs and camps with small group instruction and collaboration to help teens enhance their professional or leisure portfolios.
This program is designed to provide middle schoolers with hands-on opportunities to learn about audio production, photography, videography, and other aspects of video production. It will cover various forms of consumable media including music, YouTube videos, podcasts, short films, etc.
Bring a water bottle, lunch, and two snacks each day. Non-perishable and peanut-free is highly recommended. All participants must also have a valid recreation center membership or a day pass to participate (a day pass must be purchased each day).
This program is designed to bring out the inner singer-songwriter/artist within each participant. Participants will learn that musical genius is not required to be a good songwriter or artist - only an understanding of the process, knowing what makes songs work, and having a passion to create.
Participants will create their own songs, in various genres, and will be given the opportunity to record them at the end of the week. Bring a water bottle, lunch, and two snacks each day. Non-perishable and peanut-free is highly recommended.

This program is designed to give participants a firsthand introduction to the world of visual media, specifically photography, and videography.
Participants will learn the basics of photography, videography, and lighting techniques and at the end will have started a mini photo album and completed a short video project. Bring a water bottle, lunch, and two snacks each day.

The Media Club offers youth interested in the digital media field an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of audio recording, photography, and videography. The program is a peer-led, peer-run club that teaches youth the basics of audio, digital, and visual production.
Youth will learn about a multitude of digital media platforms and how to efficiently navigate each one. The program specializes in video journalism and the creation and production of audio, focusing specifically on music. Areas that will be covered include audio recording and engineering, photo and video editing, green screen, graphic design, and lighting.
